Taking Time To Reflect During Trying Times Of Covid-19

We here at Koshie O appreciate the love and support of you, our valued customers.  We just wanted to take a moment to check in with you and let you know that we send you our strength and well wishes.  During this period of confinement there are several important steps that you can take to ease the anxiety of the situation.

The most important is to make sure to take the necessary precautions to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Self-care is really important.  The rhythm of life has changed and we find ourselves confined sometimes alone, with loved ones, or even with people we don't know that well (dorms, hotels, roommates... etc.).  It is important to do things to relax and lessen stress and anxiety.  Be kind to yourself.  Give yourself a facial or manicure.  Read your favorite novel or catch up on your favorite series or that movie you've been wanting to see.  Order that new book or bottle of perfume you've been wanting. Take advantage of all the free courses online to learn something new.

And parents, it's OK if the home schooling is not going as planned.  Take it easy on the kids, they're stressed and anxious too.  Teachers are well aware of the circumstances and they will be there to make sure that your kids get to where they need to be academically.  So let them watch more TV than normal, play board games with them and do fun stuff together.  It's OK to not be perfect – after all, nobody is!

Also, don't forget to check in on those confined alone.  It can be especially difficult for them to face the stress by themselves.  Take time to reflect on life, the good things and what adventures await us on the other side of this.

We will get through this and we will be alright.  Looking forward to seeing you again when it's all over.  Until then, be safe, be well and be your very best!
